Known as "The Cathedral of College Basketball," this historic arena has been a staple for collegiate sports since its opening in 1927. With a seating capacity of approximately 8,722, it has hosted numerous NCAA tournaments and is home to the University of Pennsylvania's basketball teams.

Throughout the year, The Palestra hosts a variety of events, including college basketball games, special events, and community gatherings. Ticket prices can vary significantly based on the event category; for instance, tickets for high-stakes NCAA games may range from $30 to $150, while community events might be more affordable, starting at around $10.

Fans and ticket buyers often praise The Palestra for its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. Positive reviews highlight the venue's unique charm and the passionate crowds that fill its seats during game days. The Palestra's commitment to preserving its legacy while providing modern amenities makes it a must-visit destination for sports enthusiasts.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at The Palestra is designed to enhance the spectator experience. The best sections are typically located close to the court, such as sections 100 and 200, which offer an unobstructed view of the action. These areas are favored by fans who wish to be immersed in the excitement of live sports.

Conversely, sections located further back or in the upper levels may not provide the same level of engagement with the game. While these seats are often more affordable, they can lack the atmosphere that makes attending an event at The Palestra so special. Overall, seating options cater to a wide range of preferences and budgets.
